AFAN IN SINGULIS EST
AFAN IN SINGULIS EST
(AFAN is in the detail)
TABLE 1
The Female disguises.
To me the feminine element has been often linked to the most seducing and bewitching forces of Nature. Democritus wrote that Nature loves to hide, so it's obvious that the attractive virtue of woman resides in her mimetic biology.
From top left clockwise: details from "The Keyring" oil on canvas (2003); "The genius of the centuries" oil on canvas (2004); "Ophelia and Perihelion" oil on canvas (2010); "Fuge homo" oil on canvas (2004).
